Elizabeth began her training at the Royal Academy of Dancing in Norway before she was snatched up by a talent scout from the Royal Norwegian Opera Ballet.
In 1992 Elizabeth began her training at Ballet West Conservatory, & was tutored by great teachers such as Mr. C, Sharree Lane, Benee Arnold, Deborah Kaage and others.
Elizabeth also danced with Pacific Northwest Ballet for 9 months. When she returned to Utah, Elizabeth continued her training with Ballet West Conservatory on a full scholarship & performed many ballets with the company such as Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Serenade, Swan Lake, Paquita, & many others.
In 1999 Elizabeth was hired by Aspen Santa Fe ballet under Artistic Director Jean-Phillip Malaty & Tom Mossbrucker, former dancers of the Joffrey Ballet. Elizabeth quickly became the Principle Dancer for the company & choreographers created several pieces for especially for her. She danced in lead roles such as "The Sugarplum Fairy" & the "Snow Queen" in the Nutcracker, "Juliet" in Romeo & Juliet. She also danced many contemporary pieces such as "Samba" & "Pink Martini" by Trey Macintire, & other pieces by world renowned choreographers such as Jaco Po, Moses Pendelton, Noir Blanch, Nicolo Fonte & others.
After dancing with the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet for 5 years Elizabeth met & married her husband Christian & now lives in Sarasota with him & their son, Christian A. Martinez. Revelle Academy is thrilled to have a master teacher with such vast training & extensive experience to instruct & guide its students.
