Sergiy Mykhaylov graduated from the National Ballet School of Ukraine in 1995. After which, he worked for three years for the National Ballet of Ukraine, from corps de ballet to solist, touring many countries in Europe, and also in Australia. Also during these three years, Sergiy worked as a soloist with The Classical Ballet of Paris.
In 1998, Sergiy worked as principal dancer with the Orlando Ballet, under the direction of Fernando Bujones. In 2001, he was principal dancer with the Sarasota Ballet of Florida, under the direction of Robert de Warren. Sergiy has danced principal roles in Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Giselle, Don Quixote, The Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and Coppelia, to name a few.
As a well respected guest artist around the world, Sergiy has taught and choreographed at the Orlando Ballet School, Russian Ballet of America, Florida Ballet Arts Academy, Terada Ballet Academy (Japan) among many others. Sergiy earned the silver medal at The Serge Lifar International Ballet Competition and Festival.
