Kirsten M. Wenzel
– Piano & Vocal Coach

Kirsten Wenzel received her Associate of Arts Degree in 2001 from Montgomery College in Rockville MD. After Moving to Florida she completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Education at Florida State University.

Some of her Activities and Awards include:

- Recipient of the "Outstanding Student Award" form Montgomery College.
- Recipient of a $500 Edge of Excellence Grant to help the musical theatre program.
- Recipient of two $1000 grants to enhance choral & musical theatre programs.
- Active member of the American Choral Director's Association.
- Active Member of the Florida Vocal Association
- Active Member of the Music Educator's National Conference.
- Active member of the Florida Music Educator's Association.
- Member of Key Chorale, Sarasota, FL.
- Member of Florida Voices Ensemble, Sarasota, FL.
- Featured Soloist & Section Leader, First Congregational United Church of Christ, Sarasota, FL.
- Chorus intern at Riverview High School.

Currently, Kirsten coaches voice and piano privately, & is also the Choral Director at Booker Middle School. Her students have made the Florida All State Choirs, & have received superior & excellent ratings at the Solo and Ensemble Festival. Kirsten will graduate from Florida State University in 2008 with her Master's of Music Education.

We are thrilled to have Kirsten with us as we continue to develop & expand our Music Department.
