Silje Louise Selmer

Silje began her training at the Royal Norwegian Opera Ballet in Oslo Norway. She was quickly recognized as the top in her class and was selected to dance in lead roles such as "Clara" in the "Nutcracker" and the young girl in "La Sylphide", which was broadcast on Norwegian National TV.
After moving to Utah, Silje continued her education at Ballet West Conservatory and was taught by the legendary Mr. C, Benee Arnold, Sharree Lane and others. There she performed in ballets such as "La Bayadere" and "Sleeping Beauty". Silje also attended Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle Washington for a season.
After moving back to Norway, Silje attended Baardar Performing Arts College for a year where she majored in Ballet and was also educated in the methods of Deep-Stretch. Recently Silje has choreographed "The Grinch", Coppelia and the musical "Annie". She received rave reviews for her role as "The Grinch" in the performance "The Grinch".
Currently, Silje is teaching at the Skien Cultural School in Skien Norway. She has choreographed several Street Jazz, Jazz, Ballet and Modern pieces. Last year Silje was selected to be a judge for the Norwegian version of "So You Think You Can Dance".
Silje resides in Skien Norway with her husband Benjamin and their two sons William and Alvin. She will be a regular guest Master Teacher and choreographer of Revelle Academy.
